Day 4,364—April, Finally! And Pushup Results Month Two!—

I did at least 5,845 pushups in March and 1,223 leg lifts. That is an average of 188.5 pushups and 39.4 leg lifts each day! My goal was to hit at least 5,000, so I exceeded that. I was mostly doing at least 200 a day, but I couldn’t do that during my 100-mile race days, and the past few days, I have been sick. I have done some, but not as many as I usually do. This month, I would like to do about 250 pushups a day. I don’t want to be too strict on myself. I know some days I will do fewer, and some more, but a good secondary goal for April is an average of 200 a day, since I didn’t reach that in April. I am keeping track of the leg lifts, and I will do more because I always do some whenever I do a pushup set, so I am not too worried about setting a goal for them, except that more than this month and closer to 50 a day would be a good outcome.  I ran 265.3 miles in March, which isn’t exactly what I expected. Feeling sick at the end of the month, I fell short of my expectations by about 15 miles, but still, an average of 8.5 miles a day isn’t a bad result. I don’t have a mileage goal for April, except I would like to be between 250 and 300. Close to 300 would be a good training month, but being healthy is way more important to me than mileage.

Today it was wet but not raining when I ran. I didn’t listen to anything except the last 5 minutes, and I have been debating whether I want to even bring headphones for the marathon this year. I will have to bring my phone if I want to take pictures, but part of me would prefer not to. I noticed I can rent a GoPro from the library, so I want to try to reserve one for my next 100-mile race in May.
