Day 4,373—Sick Today and Tomorrow is the Greater St. Louis Marathon—

The only times I have dealt with nausea are when running ultras, so last night, waking up at midnight and staying up for the next 5 hours was miserable and bizarre. My daughter was sick on Tuesday, so it is possible I got what she had, but I am just mad. I am happy it wasn’t tonight when I got sick, but I still don’t know how well I'll be able to run tomorrow. One thing at a time. I am having some soup now, and I've been drinking a lot of hydration stuff, but I don’t know how I'll feel. I didn’t want to stay home from work because I had a bunch of things to do, but I had no choice. I spent a couple of hours this morning writing e-mails about some of the things I was planning to do today. I slept a bit and haven’t eaten much. I had a lot of water. I haven’t worked out a game plan yet for tomorrow on where I am going to park and what I am going to wear, but I am confident I can figure this out. Last year today, I was in the middle of my 200-mile run, and if I can do that. I can do this.
