Day 3,334 —Using my Camera Again—
I scared an older woman who was walking ahead of me. I didn’t mean to scare her, but there seems to be no good way to announce my presence when I approach someone who is walking. Walkers are such a whimsical bunch as a group. Whenever I notice someone approaching me, it is usually not a surprise, but when it is, I immediately move over to the right, so they can pass. Walkers are often in the middle of the path and will freeze when they notice me and stop moving completely instead of moving one way or the other. I haven’t started to go over to the grass to not risk trying to pass on the right or left. My cat has no interest in letting me type.
Each time I start, he puts his paws on my face or my hands. He is doing his best baby impression, curling himself in a ball and looking up at me as I cradle his head in my arm.
I brought my camera to the pond and took some macro shots. I love some of the insect pictures I have gotten over the years. I went to the pond because I have recently seen dragonflies there, but none were there today. In the past, I have seen dozens of them hovering around the pond, moving suddenly toward me and stopping just as suddenly, moving away. Instead of dragonflies, I took a picture of some foliage that had grown on a stump that was sitting in the water at the edge of the pond.
