Day 3,734 —Three for One Run!—

I went back to the store this morning to buy some vegan Reese's for my daughter. I ran with my vest and packed up the few things I got and ran back with it. My HR I noticed went up to 150 when I started, but then was down to 110 after a mile.

When I got home, I helped my wife pack up the kids. My daughter was upset because she wanted to bring her laptop to daycare, so she could do work. She is normally not allowed to bring toys, so I thought that was the source of conflict, but my wife said she never told her why she was upset.

I went for a run with my vest, only planning to do a mile. I did a little more than that but was already feeling like my body was responding better to running with the vest compared to yesterday.

Lastly, I ran a couple more miles without anything and was able to relax and think about the day. I signed up for the Farmdale 100 in October, so that is exciting to think about. I don’t know all I will be able to do this season, but two 100-mile races make me happy. It is always tough to find a good run to do in November and December. Maybe I should just plan to do another 100-mile run for my birthday in December.

I am still thinking about the stories I started, and I need to get back to those soon. It was fun and insightful to explore my past through writing.
