Day 3,746 —Last day of School—

I felt good running this morning, finally getting outside after I finished a paper for my class. I am finishing up the work for one of my summer classes today. It has been a good class, but I am still exhausted from the weekend and not having a lot of sleep last night. I fell asleep watching House of Dragons with my wife and went to bed without completing my normal routine.

         I woke up to the sounds of my daughter screaming and my son crying next to me. My wife had gotten up when my daughter woke up yelling, but then when she heard our one-year-old son crying, she left our daughter and came downstairs to get our son. I got up, not being aware of this, and went upstairs and told our daughter she could come downstairs and sleep the rest of the night in our bed.

         She just turned five and had a big weekend and got to see Bluey at the Fox theater yesterday. What she kept saying when she was yelling for me was, “Dada, I need you!”
