Day 3,903 —Movies with Nathan—
I just ran 4 in the rain, but I probably walked another couple of miles at 2 a.m. with my friend Nathan after we saw the Dylan movie at the theater. I didn’t think I would get to see this movie either, but I have been a huge fan of Dylan for the past 20 years: I keep buying his albums on vinyl. I have seen him in concert. I have read his book seen the other movies and own the important documentaries. It is no exaggeration to suggest that I am more of a fan of Bob Dylan than any other artist, so you would think I would be excited about this movie, but it wasn’t on my radar and when I heard who directed it and who is playing the lead, I almost didn’t want to see it.
Yet, it was good. Not great, but I liked the music, and the performances felt earned and not like that Queen movie that I couldn’t even finish. Okay, cannot hate on that movie right now. I am being positive about the Dylan movie and staying up all night and taking my friend to the airport at 5 and then running after that.
It has been a good week.
