Day 3,895 —So Many People Out!—
I
was practically bumping into people as I ran through Webster. I exchanged a few
enthusiastic greetings with some other runners, but I was a little shocked to
see so many other people out. There were not that many single runners, but a
lot of groups and pairs.
I
felt strong, and I was already five miles in before I knew it. I went over and
took a picture of the holiday decorations at Mrs. Anderson’s, a dog shampoo
place that always goes all out on its window displays. I havent’ looked at them
this season yet, but was reminded of the place when I think I saw the owner at
the Oakland house this weekend.
Why
were so many other runners out today? It was cold. I wonder if it was just
because I ran a slightly different route at a slightly different time, or maybe
people are starting to train for Spring races, or are they just trying to get
the maximum number of miles in before the end of the year?
