Day 4,121—Tomorrow is the Badger 100: Running in the Dark—
It has been a while since I have gotten up early enough to run in the dark, except for Monday. I like being up before everyone else. It gives me a sense of security that no one will bother me. I ran down the hill, back up, and around the under-construction Starbucks. They started putting in the sidewalk that I sorely missed, and took down the temporary fences so I could run inside the lot and take pictures.
I had been there long when a truck showed up and parked, and I got scared of some strangers yelling at me. Not that I am afraid of being yelled at, or maybe I am. I am afraid of someone assuming I am doing something that I am not supposed to. Sometimes being unseen makes me feel more bold. If no one is paying attention, why be nervous? But most of the time, it makes me feel lonely.
