Day 4,133—a Slight Improvement—

It wasn’t as easy to go to bed on time last night as I thought it would be. I was asleep by 10:30, but I was hoping my early start yesterday would start a better sleep routine, and maybe it will. There is still time.

It always amazes me how long it takes me to go from being awake to the start of my run. Today it took a full 35 minutes. I don’t think it should be too difficult to expect myself to get up to start my run in 30 minutes, but that time in the morning flies by. There are some things I have to do before I run, like feed my cats and get dressed, but those things shouldn’t take me that long.

This is usually an easier route to run to be a little faster because I have one long downhill, a mile flat, and only one significant hill. There is a gradual hill that’s not easy at the start, but this run isn’t nearly as hilly as my usual runs going in the other direction.

I was tempted to pump some music but didn't, sticking to my resolve. A lot was on my mind. There are a lot of things going on in this city, in my school district, in this country, and in this world that aren’t right, and finding my role to make a difference isn’t easy.

I did get closer to finishing the video for the Badger 100 on Monday. Yesterday, I tried to work on it, but I only succeeded in staring at my computer before I went to bed.
