Day 4,142—First Week!—

 

        So much craziness every day this week, but yesterday some things weren’t as traumatic as the days previous. Getting students at our school who don’t speak any English and don’t go there was one of the more upsetting things. Also, kids who had a bus to school but no way to get home was troubling. Then there are the usual fights and name-calling that have already occurred.

         I don’t know if I am getting any better at anything, but I have been busy each day, every day, without fail. Every day when I get home I want to go to bed early but still end up staying up until after 10. Today I woke up initially at 3:30 because one of my cats kept waking me up.

         I was so off during this run. I am glad I was able to do it and take this picture, but nothing went according to plan, and I didn’t run on the one trail that I had planned to. I wonder where I will go tomorrow. I need to go back to a trail, but I don’t feel like driving anywhere to run. My wife thought I might be doing a 100-mile race this weekend, which made me think maybe I should do another race soon.
