Day 4,141—Best Picture in a Month—
My daughter asked how many school days she had left this week. This time last year, she was loving school. She seems to be enjoying it okay, but prefers to be at home more, and who can blame her? I was playing with my son last night, and he told me, “I yove you dada.” After giggling so much, he had to force the words out. Earlier last night, he came downstairs when I was reading and insisted that I read to him: “Read to-me dada!” He said and then promptly sat on my lap.
I went to the graveyard today, cutting through the new neighborhood. It was nice, and I saw some animals enjoying the morning. Some ran from me, but more stayed on and stared at me. I wondered if they were born in this season because I swear most of the deer get used to me and stop sprinting at the sight of me.
As I was almost done in the graveyard, I saw a security vehicle drive through. There used to never be security there, no matter what hour of the day I was running, so I wonder if they put in some system and I caused an alarm or if they were doing a routine premise check.
After leaving the graveyard, I crossed the train tracks and noticed a yellow bike leaning by them. I stopped to take a picture, but when I saw a man sleeping under a tarp I gave him some privacy. Next, I ran over to the Wal-Mart parking lot, where there were at least 20 employees out front waiting to get in. I could smell the aroma of weed and cigarette smoke, and I wondered when they were supposed to start work.
My face doesn’t look any more healed today, which makes me want to take pictures each day so I can show myself that it is healing.
I like this picture I took today. It has three different color temperatures, mixed with the water from the sprinkler.
