Day 4,131—an Apple, a Banana, and Peanut Butter Toast!—

If there is any food that makes me feel like myself, it is those three items. For the longest time, I ate them every day. Now, I have gotten back into an apple and a banana a day. I have needed to make fresh peanut butter for a month, so I haven’t been eating the stuff. I have eaten a lot of bananas recently, but my daily apple has become more challenging because it can be messy, and I don’t know where to put the core.

No more excuses today! I made peanut butter yesterday, and we still have some good apples. I wanted to be running by 4:30 this morning, which didn’t happen, but I started earlier than I have been able to manage in a while. My alarm was supposed to go off between 3:30 and 4, but instead I woke up energized at 2:30, so I went back to bed and slept until 4:45 a.m.

Tomorrow I will do better! If I am going to do breakfast duty every day starting at 6:45 at school, it is imperative that I manage to have a solid morning routine. Today, I at least got 5+ miles in, which makes a big difference compared to 3. There is nothing wrong with 3. It is a good number and a lot more than 1 or 2, but 5 is a solid run no matter what time of the day it is, so I feel refreshed sitting here now knowing I got 5 in.

I have been working more on the video, and it is down to 22 minutes, which means I am so much closer to having a working version done, and then I will just need to add music and titles! I will complete it this week! It is my first video featuring another runner.
