Day 4,136—The Water is Low on the Chubb Trail: The Badger Video is Done: First Video Featuring another Runner!—

Even though I got up late, I still went to the Lone Elk to run the Chubb Trail, bringing water and snacks. The vegan rice Krispies treat I ate was delicious and reminded me of a recent conversation at a open house, where I learned most traditional Rice Krispies treats aren't vegan because they contain pig products. I knew they weren’t vegan, but not the reason why.

Short on time, I pushed myself to move quickly, but I still walked the hills. I felt okay about the run but realized I need to do this trail more often, maybe at least once every weekend. With difficult trails coming up in October and December, I need to practice more.

I saw several people out enjoying the trail, but was shocked by how low the water was. An area usually submerged is now bare, which surprised me since I’ve never seen it this low. I ran out of water with miles left, so  next time, I’ll bring extra water. I want to run the trail tomorrow too!
