Day 4,146—Water with no Where to Go—

I noticed water pouring out of the ground like it had been raining for hours. I went over to investigate. It looked like a sprinkler may have broken and was buried under the ground where I couldn’t see it.

After checking on the water, I made it to the trail around the seminary. I get so tired of running the same mile in the four different directions from my house. I almost want to move so I will see something different, but today I wanted to find the perfect 5-mile loop. I wondered if this would be it. I ran on the dirt and grass trail back to where I started 1.75 miles later. I was thinking of a different way to go home but unsure if it would be right at 5 miles or not. I was thankful for all the hills. When I was running them, I wondered how rare it is to have to do so much elevation every day.

There is a segment just past my street I missed. I did it yesterday, but today I turned off to go home, thinking I was about to hit 5 miles, but alas, I was at 4.9 miles instead, so I jogged past my house and turned around to get five.

Maybe I’ll find the perfect loop tomorrow, but for now I loved the cold air, bright stars, and the sound of the train in the distance.
