Day 2,958 —Feckless Words— with a PICTURE of a big PUDDLE with a PILE of ROCKS! #744

Tomorrow is the last day of the school year! And I am going hiking on the AT on Saturday – Monday, which I am super excited about; however, I don’t know when I am going to be able to update my runs when I am hiking. I am thinking I will keep writing and taking pictures, but I might not be able to update those days until I get back the next week. 

I did another short run today, not wanting to do that much to recover after this past weekend. It will not be long now until my 100-mile race on the 11th, so I am getting excited about doing that now too. I definitely feel more ready for this one compared to the last one, but I will admit I am still slowly getting into the sport. I know doing a trail 100 will be the next step up, but I am enjoying doing the distance on paths to start out with. 

I was thinking about this year when I was running. I don’t say feckless things to people on purpose, but I know that I can say things that come off brazen, or even cutting. It is a reaction to when I notice things that nobody wants to talk about, but I know everyone is thinking about it, so why not talk about it? All the things left unsaid are usually worse than the reality.
