Day 2,979 —Think You’re Escaping and Run Into Yourself: Happy Bloomsday 2022! — with a PICTURE of STREET SIGNS at NIGHT

Not too hot this morning when I was running. I have been thinking about what my next race is going to be, and it is a little frustrating that I don’t know yet.

I have been exclusively running in sandals since the race because I have a blister on one of my toes. I got the blister because I put on a narrower pair of shoes at mile 48. I was hoping those shoes would be a nice break from my more minimalist Altras that I was wearing. However, I love that the blister is really the only pain / injury I have been dealing with from the race.

James Joyce’s Ulysses takes place on June 16, which is centered around a character named Harold Bloom, the holiday Bloomsday is a celebration of the novel and James Joyce. Typically, readings of the novel take place as part of the celebrations. Sometimes celebrities take part in reading sections, which is kind of fun to see.

I wonder if reading Ulysses for 24 hours straight is more difficult than running for 24 hours straight. I think I know what I would prefer to do.
