Day 2,625 —More Humidity and Grant’s Farm—with a PICTURE of a TRUCK in the SNOW

I did my longest run since the race last week today. I promised myself I would take it easy this week, but a ten-mile run seems necessary, much like eating and sleeping. It was muddy and I did my Park Tour today, running through all the local parks in the arear including a two-mile trail loop. It wasn’t exactly ten miles in the end, so I added some around my house.

When I made it home, I told my wife we need to take my daughter to Grant’s Farm. It was just raining enough to be the kind of place that I imagine a lot of people would avoid. It was great. We rushed to get home in a timely fashion, but no lines really and my daughter was so happy getting to see all the animals close and getting to ride the train.

I was thinking how next time she would get to see the elephant show, but someone told me the elephants had died out. Regardless of the context, it is hard to see animals in confined spaces. At least there, they get a little bit more open places to roam compared to the zoo, but I don’t really know, maybe it is all the same.
