Day 3,821 —Countdown to the Farmdale 100: 5 more Runs—

I am starting to look forward to this race, and am I starting to wonder. . . What will the temperature be? What will I need to wear? How should I pack since I don’t need to do drop bags for this race? It looks like there is one aid station in the 10-mile loop after 6 miles, so every loop I will need to make it 6 miles without water, but I will be back to where I have all my supplies at the start and finish every 10 miles, which makes it a lot easier to pack because I won’t need in drop bags.

I wonder if I should bring 10 pairs of socks with the plan of changing socks 9 times. It is not a bad idea, but maybe it is overkill. I should watch some videos on YouTube about this race and see what the trail looks like.

During my run today I tried not to break a sweat to run as effort free as possible to glide up and down the sidewalk. I have been spending most of my day writing reports, which is kind of fun to be able to say that and be accurate. It seems like just bad writing.

“The father spent his weekend writing reports. Neglecting his sweet children and wife.”

I do feel like a cliché doing work when I have my kids next to me playing, but this morning I did both work and my whole family played Astrobot together and my son got a keyboard and started typing. I definitely wasn’t working quickly, but I was happy we were together.
