Day 3,828-9 —Yesterday, Today and an update—

When I woke up yesterday, I was in a Marriott in East Peoria and not sure what to think about the events of the weekend. I stumbled down the elevator to find some coffee and possibly some breakfast, but I only found a woman working behind a Starbucks counter. I looked at their menu, and they had one item that was vegan, avocado toast for 12 dollars.

I asked her if there was anywhere, I could find a breakfast buffet, and she directed me to the restaurant down the hall, which was another big open space where no one was eating, so I went outside.

I started walking around the block as I recorded a short video, and then I decided to run my mile. Why not? I did about a 10-minute mile and noticed I started feeling tired after, but part of me thought. What if I could have gone back to the Farmdale and continued the run?

Today, I was up writing about the race. I finished a good bit of the story of the race. I decided to go for a run, so I was heading outside when I heard my daughter in her bedroom, so I went upstairs, and she was up, playing in the dark, so I told her she could come downstairs and once we were downstairs, she said, “Dada can you stay here?”

So, we first stretched and did some jumping jacks together, and then I sat and played Astrobot with her and when my son woke up, we all sat together. When I started my run, it was much later than I anticipated, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t fun. I was a little sad I missed the sunrise, but I saw some of it when I walked outside earlier. I am more than halfway done with my write-up of the race and a few days out from having a video complete, but everything should be done soon.
