Day 4,558—Back to Work—

I took one day off for my anniversary, and it feels like a lifetime ago that I was sitting in my office trying to keep up with work. There is so much I still haven’t done at work and at home. I cannot remember ever feeling so far behind on things, but at the same time more ahead than I have ever been. I need a new dehumidifier, an expansion built in the back, and to rework my lawn back there too. It keeps getting increasingly lumpy from whatever animals are digging holes back there. I also need a new vehicle. My car still works, but it is slowly falling apart, and I think it might be smart to buy something else before my next major repair. I need to clean my house and throw things away. I need to dust every inch of this house. I need Felix to start gymnastics too, and I also need Vivian to be able to do another activity. I did so many activities as a kid. Vivian only has one so far, and I feel guilty for not having her do more. Is there ever a point in life where one feels like they have arrived? That they can relax and just focus on living their life? Not simply dreading how one is going to solve the inevitable obstacles. I don’t think so. I cannot ever remember feeling different.
