Day 4,565—4 Runs until the Rim to River: Coldest Morning of the Season—

Start time: 4:53 a.m.

Weather: Low 40s wind .7  mi/h, Humidity 90%

I wonder how cold it is in West Virginia right now. I was going to look it up this morning, but I don’t know what city the race is in, so I held back. I have so much to do to get ready for this race, and even though I am not feeling motivated, I cannot let that stop me. I might need to watch some of my former race videos to get amped because I am struggling.

I had to wear a jacket this morning. I didn’t wear anything that warm, but I wore a hat, gloves, and my running hoodie. This race was the same weekend as the Ozark Foothills, and that day was crazy. It started with Felix being sick everywhere and ended with my shoes falling apart as I ran, yet somehow I rallied. Somehow I finished.

After I ran a little over a mile this morning, my light started going out, so I had to run home and get my battery and then go back out. I decided to run only 3 today, so I spent more time this morning before I ran, but I didn’t do anything to prepare for the race. I am glad I got some more pictures of Halloween decorations. I like the idea of having pictures that capture the seasons over the years. I think it would be cool to make a calendar using pictures from my runs.
