Day 2,571 —The First Mile is the Slowest— with a picture of the GREAT RIVER GREENWAY

I have been keeping my eye on my heart rate more and going slow as possible in that first mile seems to help out a lot. I did most of this run-in zone 1 and by mile 6 I was able to push it some. 

It is not easy to hold back that first mile, but it is necessary if I am going to run all day. The first two hours should be so easy. Happy Tuesday everyone! I have a feeling that today is going to be a great day.
