Day 2,595 —Ready for what Comes Next— with an OLD PICTURE of ME with STUDENTS

This year I got a new job with the school district. I will be working as a Consultant Teacher who mentors and is in charge of evaluating first and second year teachers. It is only a temporary position that can last up to three years, but I am excited for the change. 

It is hard leaving anywhere that you have been for a substantial period of time, but it is different when the place you are leaving has changed so much since you started. New people leave and go from my building every year. There are a few people that have been there with me the majority of my tenure, but they are the exception. 

I feel sad about leaving the people that I have worked with for such a long time and missing seeing my current students grow up and graduate, but there is never a right time to move on, and this is as good of time as any. 

Change might seem exhausting and challenging but change also brings the promise of something different.
