Day 2,574 —Everything Changes, then Changes Again— (with a picture of CLOUDS and a SUNRISE
I listened to the new Weezer album today and tried out my new headlamp. I really like my new headlamp. It has the battery on the back, so it doesn’t bounce at all or leave a mark on my forehead, like the other one did.
The new Weezer album sounded pretty good. Weezer was my first favorite artist, and it is crazy that they are still coming out with new albums. I completely understand the haters and the people that have never heard of them, but to me they will always bring me back to being eleven and thinking they were the best band ever. My brother and I went to buy the green album at midnight together at Vintage Vinyl in 2001. That was a big year of change for both of us. He was a senior in high school, and I was just a Freshman. We used to drive to school together in the morning.
The title for this post comes from a lyric from the Tom Petty song, “To Find a Friend,” and it is something I have been thinking about a lot recently. Not only can we not control that things are going to change but whatever that change is it is also going to change.
I want things to change, but I want things to stay the same too; yet I know nothing can ever stay the same, not really.
And that’s okay because it reminds me how important it is to stay living in the moment, but it is not always easy.
