Day 2,631 —Happy Parade Day! — with a PICTURE of YELLOW RAILINGS
Lawn chairs lined the streets down Webster. I saw signs for a parade at 10 a.m. Tt was a little after 7 at the time. I wondered if this parade was that hotly anticipated that it had caused such an interest so early in the day.
I immediately imagined being at the parade with my daughter. Maybe not this year, but some year soon my wife, and I will take her to a parade. It is nice seeing all the celebrations in full swing again after everything was cancelled last year. I remember vividly this time last year, very few parades. My wife loves fireworks. I don’t have a strong opinion about them, but I have fun walking and sitting outside every year with my family. The anticipation is always what I end up remembering. It will be past my daughter’s bedtime when they will start this year, but I still think it might be worth going.
I know that things aren’t perfect right now, but they feel better than they were last year at this time, and I think that is worth celebrating.
