Day 2,645 —Best Birthday Ever! — today with a PICTURE of a BENCH

She will not remember this day. I feel privileged to witness the past two days. Her first birthday party was great, and I remember it fondly but the past two days everything seemed to work out perfectly. The animals were so close to us on the tram in Grant’s Farm. She was screaming, laughing, and gesturing wildly almost the entire time. People wished her happy birthday, and some people sang to her. She just attracts so much attention everywhere she goes.

I struggled to start my run by 7:30 having gone to bed after 1 a.m., the previous night. Another cool morning and the roads seemed less crowed. I wanted to run across the two pedestrian bridges over 44, so that’s what I did. I wasn’t sure how long it was going to take me. If I had cut it shorter, I might have been able to write this before the party, but that’s okay. Your daughter only turns two once. I was so happy watching her be happy and love all the things that we did for her.

I like the brevity that a kid party requires too. Everyone must take a nap, so they cannot last more than a few hours at the most. It seems awesome to have a summer birthday. I can always run more tomorrow.
