Day 2,635 —My Hand Keeps Falling Asleep! — with a PICTURE of a TREE and the MOON

I got an e-mail this morning about the next Mohican 100, and they decided to have the start and finish line be at the same location next year! I am tempted to sign up now. It was a great race. I don’t know if I could do the 100 next year; I want to wait until after my race in November to decide. I am sure I will want to do something next year.

After so much time planning my first ultra, now I cannot see past the next race. What will next year be like?

The clouds hanged majestically in a radiant blue sky. At one point two small dogs started chasing me. I used to get annoyed when owners would have their dogs off their leashes, and not attempt to get their dogs. It is strange how some dog owners act as if it is my fault that their dogs are chasing me. I am sorry I am running on the sidewalk! However, today I stopped and helped get the woman’s two small dogs to calm down and go back towards her. She was nice, and I am glad I could help. So far, this approach has not failed me. Whatever you do don’t ever turn your back on an angry dog.
