Day 2,646 —Return to the Track— today with a PICTURE of SAINTS

Easiest surface for me to run on is a track. I like grass and dirt trails too, but a track gives you the visibility and the lack of rocks and roots to trip on. My left foot hasn’t been painless, but easily a 100% better than it was a few weeks ago.

My mother-in-law told me that she got cortisone shot for foot pain she was having. She started running about a year ago, so I was shocked to find out she had abused her feet to such a degree in such a short period of time. I know that a shot can really help in the short term. I have thought about getting a cortisone shot, but I think I need to do more research on alternative ways to heal my foot.

I imagine physical therapy is probably an option I should seriously consider. I should be doing exercises on a regular basis to help build whatever is getting broken in my foot. I am at least giving myself a break, which is noticeably helping.

It seems like it is always right around 10 miles that the regular pain starts returning.
