Day 3,465—Getting Cold after the Race—
It was starting to rain as I made it back to my gear. I was moving slowly but I reminded myself that I could move as slowly as I needed now. The race was over, and I had won. Suddenly, I started shivering uncontrollably while I was packing up. I swiftly moved back to my car, turned the heat on, dried my hair, and changed shirts. I was still so cold and prone to starting shaking but I didn’t have a choice; I still had my cooler left to bring back to my car.
I got back in my car and warmed up. I took a moment to reset before driving. However, my windows were fogged up, so I had to slow down to see and keep moving. Back at home, I cracked the door of my car and started shaking after the gust of cold air came through. I turned my car on again and decided to only take my wallet and phone into the house and leave everything else there. I was violently shaking as I entered my house. Still cold, I rushed into the bathroom to take a hot shower.
I was still cold throughout the rest of the night and slept in a shirt. I felt perfectly fine the rest of the day, but then suddenly something changed, and my core body temperature was so off.
