Day 3,467—Up a Hill—

 My heart rate shot up again at the start of this run, and I couldn’t get it to go back down until I stopped to take a picture after a mile. I used to stop more to take pictures and calm my heart rate when I started doing ultras. I was doing it to run in zone 1 or zone 2. I even went through a phase when I ran four zones 1–2 marathons in a month.  I think it was four, and it was shocking because it was so easy but at the same time a struggle to keep it at that easy pace and take breaks. I don’t think I need to completely go zone 1 or stop or anything, but I need to deliberately go slow the next two weeks with two additional races coming up.
