Day 3,795 —First Tooth—

Not ideal running conditions this morning, but it feels like fall: it is cold enough to wear a light jacket but warm enough to wear shorts. I feel like I run faster in the fall because I start my run going fast to warm up and then once I am warm, I start to slow down some by then I might be close to the end of my run.

My daughter lost her first tooth yesterday. There was a lot of blood and it scared her a little. She had been playing with her loose tooth for a week now, so I don’t know what she thought might happen when it finally fell out. We put the tooth in a sandwich bag and then put it next to her pillow.

Later that night, my wife was in panic mode. She hadn’t told me that our daughter wanted a coin, but she hadn’t gotten her any. I went to my tiny book bank that I have had since childhood and opened up and gave her a one-a-dollar coin. I don’t remember where I got this one, but I have had it forever. It is the 2000s edition. My wife said it costs 15 dollars on Amazon, but can’t you still get these at the bank?
