Day 3,805 —Taking a Break—
I started this morning doing a workout in VR. It was this running simulation, and it was kind of fun, but at the same time a little underwhelming. I like having workouts gamified, but at the same time, it can make basic things more complicated, which is how I feel when I meditate in VR. It is cool and relaxing, but at the same time I shouldn’t be stimulated when I am meditating, so I go back and forth on how helpful it is.
My right ankle has been bothering me this week, so I have been trying to stretch more and sit in a position that forces me to stretch. I think it is helping, but who knows? I was thinking I would do a lot of running this weekend, but now I am not so sure. I might need to focus on recovery and do a low-impact workout after I run.
3 weeks now until the Farmdale 100! Which is why I wanted to run a lot this weekend, but maybe it will be fine. The Shawnee Hill 100 was about 4 weeks ago, so I am confident I am still in a 100-mile shape, but I would like to get some real trail miles in.
