Day 4,109—Broken Fences—
These fences might be broken, but they look like a tableau. I have taken pictures of this saint before, but I wonder what the subtle changes are that I am missing that I might notice if I were to compare them in sequence.
I didn’t want to run today. I am still feeling sore after last night, but I figured if not now, when? And headed out. Sure, it was hot, but the sky was blue, and the clouds were there but not overwhelming. I wrote about my race before I left, and I started feeling good about the whole experience.
It is fun to mark the time with race events. The GYBK and the Berryman 50 are the two races I have done consistently for the past 4 years, which doesn’t seem like a lot until I remember that 4 years was my entire high school experience. A lot can change in 4 years, but when it comes to running, not a lot has changed in the past 4 years. I have gotten less competitive in the shorter races compared to how I was before, but part of me thinks a lot of that was because I didn’t know anyone to talk to in those races.
It is kind of crazy to see how the republicans care so much about the Epstein stuff. The guy is a pedophile. Have they heard how he talks about his daughter? How is this news that he wouldn’t want the Epstein file released? But that’s the thing about conspiracies, they ignore all the objective evidence and focus on what is subjective. It is disgusting that we have a criminal pedophile as a president, put there by christian conservatives. Never forget the havoc that christian conservatives have done to this country. They’re a group of people who are organized to cause harm to minorities, and they should be held accountable for the suffering they have orchestrated. I wouldn’t be as angry if I didn’t grow up with them and know that they seriously think that they are trying to help people.
