Day 4,116—Last Week before School Starts!—
I was tempted to title this “5 Runs until the Badger 100!” or “Going to Arkansas Tomorrow,” but I don’t know; school starting next week is probably the thing I am the most nervous about. I still don’t know when I need to report to work on Monday, and I am thinking that possibly there is some sort of back-to-school thing I need to attend, but I will muddle through what is going to happen and try not to worry about it. Sometimes it is nice not to have anything to compare something to. As long as I survive the first week and attend everything, it will be a success. It has been so long since I worked in one building, so it still seems strange to me. It makes me wonder if this is happening or not.
I need to get up at 3 a.m. tomorrow so I can get a short run in and shower before leaving at 4. I got up at 5 today, which was easily the earliest I have gotten up in a couple of weeks. I didn’t run until later, but that is my plan to ease into the transition. I will need to start running and writing before leaving the house soon. Today’s run, I wasn’t sure where to go and sat at the pond by the house for a beat.
This week is going to go by so fast, which makes me thankful for being busy, but I have been so unmotivated recently. I got some things done today, but I am still in my bathrobe, so it is hard to suggest I have been super focused. My daughter is talking to me while I write this. Only one week left. I definitely haven’t done everything I wanted to do this summer.
