Day 3,756 —My Longest Month Ever: Plants Give you Energy—

I thought for sure it would be July 2024 after I added a few more miles last night to hit  an even 400 miles (643.74 km), but I was wrong. In July 2020 I ran 403 miles and in August 2020 I ran 412 miles, so this will be my third-longest month ever.

It made me think about what I was doing in 2020, and I remembered that was the year I started eating vegan. In July, I was eating almost completely vegan but still some cheese, and by August I had progressed to no dairy, no eggs, and no honey. And that was the month I ran 412 miles. It makes me so happy to think about it, especially when I know people have the attitude of “vegans don’t have any energy.” I implore you to ask the next person who suggests that "when was the last time they were able to run over 400 miles in a month." You can refer them to this post as your evidence that PLANTS GIVE YOU ENERGY. In a 31-day month, that is roughly a 13-mile (20.92 km) a day average.
