Day 4,400—I think we’re at 11 more Days with Students—

I heard that we could have freezing rain this weekend, which seems crazy for May, but that’s where we’re at. I just keep thinking about how lucky I have been this year and last year with the weather at my races. I have had the worst rain and winter storms during races in past years, but not recently. It’s not like the bad wind isn’t frequent. It is more frequent than I can remember.

This was a repeat of the runs I have been doing this week. I think I might have been a little faster today. I didn’t go to Blackburn Park because I saw the lights of a police vehicle in the parking lot. I decided to run down Lockwood by the tiny main street next to the highway. I like the way it looks when it is empty. I looked at the shops and thought about how they had changed over the past 20 years. The only thing I can remember always being there is Einstein Bagels, which I find odd because I don’t see them anywhere else anymore, but there used to be a bunch locally.
