Day 4,418—Reflecting on the Day: 4 More Runs until the Mohican 100!—
Start time: 8:41 a.m.
Weather: Mid 60s, wind 1.8 mi/h, Humidity 82%
It felt like such a nice day as I started. I was still amazed by how much I slept—and surprised the cats hadn’t done more to wake me up. Not getting up until 7:30 a.m. meant I was in bed for over 8 hours! I cannot say I feel especially refreshed after all that sleeping, but it must be doing something positive. Yesterday, I stretched but didn’t time myself, so the first thing I did this morning was stretch. I need to stretch later today, too. Since the plan was to check out the beach at the Magic House, I couldn’t stay outside running for too long. On my way home, I stopped to get something to drink, forgetting to pause my watch, so I was bumped by the time it was included. Earlier this week, I started listening to "The Stand." I have read a lot of Stephen King’s books, but this is one of his classics that I didn’t know much about. Now I understand why it has been so popular recently—it is basically a story of how something like COVID destroyed civilization. Last night, I had weird dreams, but I don’t remember what they were about, except for the feeling that I had been out of school for a while. That made me realize, as I sat and did the math, that tomorrow will be the first day I don’t have school when I usually would. When I got home, we left almost immediately to go to the Magic House.
