Day 2,675 —My Grant’s Farm Loop— with my PICTURE of a PINE NEEDLE PATH

I decided to run around Grant’s Farm. I thought there would be a good chance I would see some animals. The section by Gravios I failed to see a single creature. When I turned on Eddie & Park Rd, I started to see dozens of different types of deer anywhere from 10 feet in front of me to 50 feet. It was too dark to take a picture. I didn’t want to shine my light on them. I kept going and saw more scattered around. I didn’t see anything on Pardee, but it is a fun road to run on.

When I was a kid, I used to ride my bike on Pardee to go to the park. It is one of the most dangerous roads in the area (a lot of hills and blind spots, and no sidewalk). I wish I had known then about all the other ways I could have gone to the park and avoided that street, but I was a kid.

It would be amazing to have a huge sidewalk next to the fence, so it would be easy to run by and see the animals, but I understand why they don’t want pedestrians to gather around the fences.

Running Tip #57

The key to longevity in anything is making it fun, challenging, and interesting. Fun should be your primary focus if it feels too challenging and your losing interest.
