Day 2,705 —Fire at the Smoke Shop— with my PICTURE of a CAR WINDOW and a STREET

And just like that my world has changed again, my daughter’s daycare shut down due to a COVID case, so now my wife and I are scrambling to figure out how we can both work and watch our daughter at the same time.

When my wife told me, I was both just getting home from work and trying to get to a virtual work meeting, and then I had about 15 minutes of down time before my class at 4 p.m. started. I didn’t have time to think about it until after 7 p.m., and I hadn’t eaten dinner yet.

There was a fire down the street from my house last night. There were so many fire, police, and hospital vehicles packed into the parking lot, which made me wonder how many accidents take place regularly involving emergency vehicles.

This morning a police officer was parked directly in front of the building that was on fire last night. Why he was patrolling the area, I don’t know. I took a picture of the burnt-out sign that once read, “Smoke Shop,” and I tried not to think about the obvious pun.

I hope nobody was hurt.
