Day 4,250—Some have Yellow Eyes—

I spent more time getting dressed than was necessary, but I saw it was cold again, and for a short run, I strongly prefer not being freezing, so I wore my heavy gloves and a hat that covered my face. I did eventually start getting hot, but I was almost done with my run by then. I wasn’t 100 percent sure where I wanted to go, but I figured I would only do a few miles today, especially since I had a good week of running last week. I have been thinking more about running in this potential 50K fun run next weekend, and maybe I should break my long-standing pattern of not doing any type of group run and try it out. It would be good training for the Shippey to do one more long trail run this month.

I ran up by the Archdiocese center and marveled at the colossal size that is easy to not see at all unless you know where it is. I saw a group of deer, and I started to count them, but I stopped to notice how they all had sharp green eyes, but one’s eyes were almost yellow, so I started thinking about how that was possible. Is there that much variation in deer eyes?
