Day 4,266—Warmest December Ever! —

It is christmas Eve, but I wouldn't blame anyone for not noticing, as the weather is in the 50s, making it the warmest Xmas Eve I can remember. Sarah told me this morning that she wanted to go to the doctor, so I got up thinking I needed to run quickly before she left. I was going to have an hour, but she rescheduled, so I only had 20 minutes to run before she needed to leave. This gave me enough time to do two miles, but I figured I would attempt five today, so I tried to be productive while I watched the kids.

When I got back out, I debated what I could take a picture of when I wasn’t planning on going too far from my house. It surprised me how many people were working today. When I saw this perspective of the woods, I decided I liked it enough to take a picture, but it wasn’t a picture that would seem interesting on a smaller scale. I debated taking something more christmassy, but it just didn’t feel on any level that it was that time of the year. I would probably forget the holiday completely if it weren’t for my daughter, who has been counting down the days on the calendar we keep on the fridge. When I got back, I saw I made the selection to run a race I was excited about that was in the fall!!
