Day 4,260—Internal Alarm—
All last night I kept thinking about how much I wished it was Thursday, but today is Thursday, so I guess I got my wish. Two more days of school until break, which hopefully means everyone will be in a good mood today, but if it is like it has been every other morning, the students will be restless and feeling invincible as they run in circles trying to fight/play with each other. When I looked at my phone, my battery was dead, and my alarm wasn’t active, so I don’t know what I was thinking when I went to bed. I remember being tired all evening and going to sleep early. Also, my toddler got into the rest of the Advent calendar, which prompted my daughter to open all of hers. Sarah was sick and didn’t even seem bothered, which was probably the most shocking event. Vivian told me she was tired of the books, but then said the one I gave her was her favorite, and she was excited to read it. I gave Felix a pretend plastic saw, and he spent the rest of the night carrying it around as he attempted to saw things.
I cannot believe how warm it is today. I wore shorts and a hat. The wind was outrageous, but it died down after the first couple of miles. I kept changing my mind about where I wanted to run as I was going, but in the end, I liked this route. It somehow reminded me of the holiday. I remember running one day before the holiday, in particular, when I ran on one of my favorite streets in Webster. I should try to go there tomorrow.
