Day 4,270—the Sunrise wasn’t until 7:40—

I ran the marathon distance 11 times this year. I ran four 50Ks, one 50-mile run, five 100-mile runs, and one 200-mile run. Tomorrow, I will count how many races I did, but I don’t think that will take me that long. I need to start keeping the same types of statistics, so I can compare them year-to-year. I would also like to keep track of my longest weeks each year.

I was tempted to only do a mile today because I know my leg could use the break, and I have already met my goal for miles this year, but it was just such a nice day. I started thinking about this predicament more, and I think I might just walk instead of running. I will run a mile as usual, but then walk a few miles, so I will still spend the same amount of time outside.

After this run, I found my daughter sitting on the stairs. No one else was up yet, so I felt bad she had been waiting by herself, so I told her we would go for a walk, but then my 2-year-old got up and wanted to come with us, so it took a little while, but it was a gorgeous day to go for a walk. We went to the new Starbucks down the street, and I bought them a bag of chips and the kids fruit slushies that come in a bag that are kind of like applesauce. Neither of them finished their drinks, but my daughter loved the water cup they gave her, so it was a rousing success.
