Day 4,488—All Hills —
Start time: 11:33 a.m.
Weather: Mid 80s, wind 1.6 mi/h, Humidity 67%
I started thinking about training for the Run Rabbit Run race today. It is only about 6 weeks away, and I would like to do more trails in general, but talking with Jeremiah yesterday made me realize how much more elevation I should just be tackling routinely. There are three big hills close to my house, and this run, all I did was go down and then up each hill on repeat. I thought my elevation would be higher because I basically went up 3 miles and down 3 miles, but I can never figure out exactly how they’re determining elevation. I thought each hill would have its own total feet up and down, but looking at my total elevation for this run, I wonder if they basically evaluated each hill as one hill, which would make it seem like I ran 2 big hills as opposed to 12. I don’t know. I know I am exhausted from running those hills and not looking forward to doing that on repeats again. It also just felt so hot today!
Watch the Florida Race Video if you haven’t yet. It is the best race video I have made to date!
